A day off today, so took a trip to Selkirk to see the annual Common Riding.
The event takes place in June every year and is quite a spectacle.
To take in the whole thing, you have to be up early – The Rouse Parade awakens the town, with a flute band, at 04.00 am !
Return to the Ridings is a good source of information on the annual celebrations.
